Brand-minded?

I know a few people who care about brand names so much. To them, only Ibanez, Gibson and Fender are guitars. Any other less well-known brands are considered as 'brandless' to them, not to mention that they WON'T purchase one.
One of them said he would not want to perform with a guitar with an unpopular brand name on its headstock. Some of the people would even take all the effort to go and change the brand name on the headstock (e.g. Placing a Fender decal on Squier).
I am not saying that they are not allow to think like that. They can think whatever they want. In fact, I didn't raise a word when they said that. However, what matters to me the most is the quality of the instrument. By considering 'brands', it is the same as limiting your choices. For me, as long as the quality control of the instrument is good, regardless of what brand it is, I will buy it.

Striking resemblances (Episode 2)

Another series of striking resemblances. Take a look at these pedals.
Above is a noise gate. All look identical; the built, the knobs and even the model name of all 3 pieces is NG-100! Same goes for DS-100 and other pedals and even the 200 series, with slight changes in the design.
Actually, the reason for this striking resemblance is simple; they are the same. They are all from the same factory and all the parts are totally the same. What is different is the brand name that is badged on the pedals. Boston is the Beta Aivin of The Philippines. I am not sure about GLX though. And there are still many other names which I have not mention...

The Crack Check

The same friend who told me about LTD in ESP's clothing gave me another advice on the same day: "What I must check when I'm buying a second-handed guitar."
Firstly, he told me that he can't stand those people who look at every single angle of the guitar just to look for a cosmetic faults (scratches, dents, etc..) . This kind of people can be classified as 'fussy buyers'. And he is not the only one who feels like that, he said.
However, he told me to still check for 2 areas in particular; the headstock and the area where the neck and the body joins. He stressed me to avoid buying any guitar with any minimum crack (not scratch) in those areas. He told me that getting a guitar with a crack (regardless of small or big) can cause a lot of trouble when you setup up your guitar, especially when it comes to intonation.

Music Theme (Drums branch)

Music Theme now has a separate shopfront for drums and percussion only. So if you are getting your Promark drumsticks, you might have to walk to the direction where Woodworkz is located (behind Maestro).

It's not just Kpop...

I believe when many people talk about music in South Korea, I believe all would say that Kpop is dominating their music market, which I think it's true to some extent. Do correct me if I'm wrong though. =P I'm not born Korean so I don't know about their culture much.
In case anyone is thinking music in Korea is all pop, I guess I can prove you wrong. =)

To be frank, I wouldn't know this guy if I hadn't look up for Swing artists.
