Understanding Tradition

This is a V-pick Tradition Ultra Lite.
'This 0.75mm thick is a solution for those who find their acoustic tone muffled. It will add addition brightness to the sound. As you can see, it is as big as the Galli pick I got from SV. I used to use them for my acoustic (and the Star pick) but now, I'm switching to V-picks. It just simply sounds better on acoustic. In my opinion, picks contributes a lot to the tone for acoustics.

Selling Biyang BY09WY Noiseless Adaptor

Selling Biyang BY09WY Noiseless Adaptor. A 5-ways daisy chained adapter.
This adapter comes with a built-in daisy chains. Some specs of this adapter:
  • Input: 160-240v AC 50/60hz
  • Output: 9v DC 400mA regulated. centre female socket negative (-) and outside positive (+)
  • Warranty still valid at SV guitars (Warranty Expiry: 07/01/2012)
SOLD @ 11:36AM, 30/07/2011

Don't worry too much about the input. As long as you are plugging it into a socket in Singapore (as long as it is not 110V ), there shouldn't be any problem. And 400mA should be sufficient enough to give you enough power for all 5 9V pedals.

I no longer have any use for this, since I now have the Baby Mach 2.

Selling OD-20 (Updated - Price Lowered)

Price lowered.
It may be named as OD-20 but this is not an overdrive-only unit. It is more of an overdrive/distortion. I would say it is like the Line 6 DM4 Distortion Modeler, giving a total of 22 stompbox models including popular overdrive like from Boss OD-1 to Tubescream and different distortions like Boss' very own MT-2 and DS-1. See the DST + there? I doubt it is Daylight Saving Time (that's what you get when you google it) but a simulation of MXR 104 Distortion +. Line 6 DM4 can store custom settings. Well, OD-20 comes with 4 user memory for you to store you settings as well. It's more compact compared to DM4. Click here for more info.

  • Price: $160 $130
  • Condition: Mint. It is about 2 years old.
  • Deal at the seller's convenience
  • Don't mind trading for anything interesting, pedals(boosts, ODs, phasers), bags(for acoustic/es335 style), with top up mainly on your side.
  • SMS me at 90775624 to deal

Power from a Baby!

Alright, I got a power supply for my pedals. I am not intending to have to many pedals on my rig. So I would consider getting a Pedaltrain Jr? Well, I don't know. It all depends on this: $$$$$. And I probably won't be getting anything else for a while.
Anyway, I got this Cioks Baby Mach 2. Note that it is not new. I got it second-hand.
The seller left the receipt in the box. It was bought fresh from TY Music on 11 Jul. So this Baby Mach 2 is less than 2 weeks old. TYMC provides a 6-month warranty service as well so the warranty is still valid.
For the price I paid, it is a very good deal. I didn't have to go all the way down to City Hall and I get a near brand new Baby Mach 2. I am really glad that the seller came all the way to my place to  pass this to me. (Thank you very much for that Bro Bob!)
It comes with 5 Flex cables. 2 long ones, 2 short and one with positive tip. Looks like I will need to get another flex cables. I don't have any use for the positive tip, unless I'm getting some Dunlops or EHX pedals.

As for its size, see the above photo. It is smaller than the Digitech Grunge there. That shows how light and compact it is. Less than a kilogram. It has LED lights to indicate any overloading.

TY Music Center has a whole range of Cioks Power Supply there.

Understanding Tradition

I wonder why was the pick named 'Tradition'. Maybe it has the tradition guitar pick shape?
As you can see, it does has the shape of a normal pick (like my Everly Star Picks). However, Tradition is much wider. Its thickness of 2.75mm also give this V-pick a better grip. It is also beveled like many other V-picks of this thickness; this makes alternate picking easier.

However, Tradition does not have any pointed corners like Original Small pointed does. It may not make much of a difference on electric guitar but on acoustic, it will produce a less brighter sound. Anyway, I don't think 2.75mm thickness is appropriate for acoustic, which is why I got Tradition Ultra Lite.

Tradition is a good choice of V-pick for those who are not used to the triangular picks. My favourite V-pick is still Original Small Pointed.

"You've got mail"

To,
      The Guitar Maniac.
From,
Well, I think you can guess what's inside it already.
I believe you've seen a few of them already. Member No. 3, 4 and 7 are the new. Who are they?

<3> Tradition. 2.75mm. This pick is rather different from all the rest of them. The tip is rounded and it follows the usual shape of a pick.
<4> Tradition Ultra Lite: A thinner version of Tradition. It is thin and suitable for acoustics. Why got two? One is for a friend. :)
<7> Original Small Pointed (new). The one Sub gave me is No. 1. Still using it. If you would zoom in, you can see how blunt one the the edges are already. That shows how much I spammed them.

Actually, I got these new picks for FREE. I was intending to buy them. However, Brendon insisted on giving them free. THANK YOU VERY MUCH BREDON!!

Oh, by the way, BGW is moving to Newton by next month or so. I think it is a good news to some of us. Definitely a good news for me!

Mugging and mugging

Hi,
I am going to be staying back in school rather late to study.. So this means that I definitely will not have much time to blog. However, I WILL still blog. Just that not as frequently. XD

------------------------------------------------------
No news for my Squier yet. Seems like it's really in some 'critical' condition. But nevermind. I have complete faith in SV, that they will definitely do a good job on it. =)

FREE PICKUP COVERS (TAKEN)

FREE Single coil pickup covers. 3 in total. Got them from my old Squier stock pickups. I don't want to throw stuffs away and I don't see any use for it for myself.
I don't know how many people actually need such a stuff. But there are cases when people break their pickup cover. I don't know how they managed to do that but there are such cases.
Deal at my convenience though. xD

SORRY! IT'S TAKEN
