These are single coil pickups but they are made to serve as humbuckers. The two pickups on the neck are Seymour Duncan lil 59' and Lace Sensor Hot gold. As for the bridge, it consists of LS hot gold and SD SLSD (lil screamin' demon). They ARE hum cancelling. Both SL59 AND SLSD are hum-cancelling and so are the LS hot golds. As for why, you've gotta be a bit hardworking and visit their site and look for the answers. =)
